The SIS will introduce a survey of ITS solutions for improving long distance freight road transport. Attention will be paid to the environmental performances of the road transport system such as emissions and fuel consumption, to the road safety and the capacity utilization. Combining compliance and efficiency, ITS solutions for commercial vehicles is innovative and has not been combined this way previously in any previous ITS World congress.
